Hi everyone

I have a question from Directing managers of DNN.

If you have dedicated server and make new installation of DNN without more Modules when you want open website it's minimum 2-3 time slower than other CMS. ... AND ... If you add several important and useful content with simple ways (HTML modules) and other ways like using "DNN Article module" and "CrossClassified Pro Online Store" like this website: http://www.shaghayegh2.com it's same before or a few slower than before.

When you click some links like Page or Conten or Product in Store, It's 3-4 time more take time than other CMS like "Durpal", "Wordpress" or Online shopping like "OpenCard" and "Magento"....

What is Real problem that you can not solve it after 12 years?! If DNN never be fast, tell us to think about other solutions.

I adhere to DNN more than 5 years and make more than 250 Portals in these years. I saw good happenings in these years but I never seen working on Speed and 99.99% of my client have a problem with my Delivered job with DNN about SPEED...

My Question is:

Do you think it will Fix in early next issues? like DNN 7.5 or DNN 8.0+ ? please answer me clear....

Armin,
IMHO, performance is one of the main reasons for Project Maverick, i.e. DNN for ASP.vNext, which is focusing on lean and fast infrastructure for websites.
For the time being, there are a number of tweaks you may use to improve performance - on the server, the database, DNN configuration and your content.

Cheers from Germany,

Armin,

I think you've mentioned elsewhere that you run multiple sites on your server, and, I think, multiple different sites in the same installation. If so, that can certainly slow down DNN as well.

With that said, yes, DNN isn't the fastest. In part, I think, that's because DNN has a very flexible model and so output caching and some other things can be trickier. In any case, as Sebastian said, hopefully new technologies will improve things.

Dear Sebastian

Thank you for your good news. I'm really happy for your good news about focusing on DNN SPEED. Actually it's very important for 99% of my clients in middle east and I lost many clients just for dnn speed. It was only Negative Feedback for DNN and I know DNN is very flexible and I love it. I'm sure if DNN look at other Competitors and getting their Strengths, DNN can get more dividend in website market and it will cause to more growing.

And Dear Mike
You are right, Before I was using one DNN Engine for many website and it was very bad, because I was beginner and I think I can save my time to manage my clients website, but after 2-3 years I encountered to many problems, for example if my IIS in one of website be stopped, all websites was stopped.
I Make them Separate and I Install Paralel Plesk 12.08 Hosting System on New Server with Windows Server 2012 R2 and SQL 2012 on Framework 4.5 IIS 8.5 and 32GB RAM and 2 TB HDD and again I will grow this Server to one New One with SSD Storage and 64GB RAM 3 Time faster CPU and....
I', not Armin in 3 years ago and I have good experience in last years. I'm active in This Forum from 2013-2014 and it was helpful for me.

I do several Foreign Orders from France, UAE, Russia, Georgia, Cyprus, Iran and I'm so happy because my clients are happy from my Powerful support from them.

But I can not Sand under pressure of DNN Low-Speed. always I have several attention from clients about Very slow loading pages, I have to talking too much to tel them It's regular, you have to use Stronger hosting and.... or Free Service to make better configuration or Content also and It's my losing time and losing money for me.

because Clients can not accept more pay for Bigger hosting because they show me OpenCard platform for example, for Online store and they told me When you click you can see in little time the page will open, less than a second!!!! in very cheap Hosting!

but We pay more and we buy very expensive hosting and We have to wait 7-10 seconds to open a page to showing product details in our store!

If you test my Design and Content performance by some website like GTMetrix.com you will see I have Grade A or B (85~95%) in Design but Grade C or D (55~75%) in Yslow and When I see Different, I see 70% is waiting for Server Response and calculating 80-140 Requests from website to server.....

I hope We have DNN on very Light Hosting with So Fast Response and Full Ajax interactions with customizable Template for search and other places...

Thank you again and I best wishes for DNN Group....

I think you have problem in your module or DataCache.
- check datacache, output cache
- enable CRM to combine js,css
- and more...
