Hi all

Please look at this Compare 3 Store Analytics by GTMetrix:

http://gtmetrix.com/compare/RHaiGEYd/yQGLUyHy/YD2P76Fc

The middle one is DNN and left and right is for other Technologies like OpenCart or Magento Online store.

DNN is too slow when we open it and others are to fast. the Important things I this Defer parsing of JavaScript! for DNN (0) and other (91) and (70)... why? all DNN site are like this. Defer parsing of JavaScript = 0

we could defer scripts, but the problem is that certain javascript may assume the script is already loaded - whilst this is easy to fix via document.ready (see http://www.dnnsoftware.com/answers/de... ), there is plenty of cases where modules have not done so, hence why we haven't made this change. Realistically it rarely boosts performance much - it only shows up when people use page speed measurement tools

no idea I'm afraid as it depends on the page and the scripts included - to get an idea you would need to edit the code and add the defer attribute and test, but my feeling is that the benefit would be very small and the risk of breaking javascript quite high (its very common for modules to not wrap script in document.ready)
