Even on decent hardware, DNN installations with many Sites, Folders and/or users might face long page load time due to increased database response time.

There are some aspects for improvements and I spent quite a lot of time to find optimal solutions and combined it into a set of scripts, you may apply to your DNN Installation for significant improvements.

I just uploaded an new version of these DNN Turbo scripts, now supporting DNN versions 7.1.2 to 7.4.0, including the following fixes:

  • Support for DNN 7.4.0 - please use modified 07.04.00.sqldataprovider file for upgrade
  • Validate and correct all Foreign Key Constraints between core tables.
  • New enhanced and improved implementation for procedure GetUsersAdvancedSearch
  • Full Unicode support within the script and all procedures
  • Enhanced vw_Profile to return names for Countries and Regions in DNN 7.3.4+
  • Fixed an issue in GetRolesBasicSearch
  • Fixed an issue in tooling sproc RestoreForeignKeys
  • Fix Index issues on UserRelationshipPreferences table and WorkflowTables (DNN 7.4.0+)
  • Fix GetPortals from DNN 7.4.0, corrected version is used for previous DNN versions as well.
  • Clear orphaned exception data (DNN 7.4.0+)
  • Fix an issue, if Portal 0 missing (DNN 7.4.0 only)
  • Application of TurboScript is now registered in HostSettings.
  • Now includes scripts to adjust malformed Host and Site Settings.

Did you test it on Azure?

Installing TurboDNN on AzureSQL is currently not supported, due to limitations of AzureSQL (dropping PK not possible).
Latest Improvements of AzureSQL seem to promise that this will be fixed in one of the next Versions.

Is it already azure compatible? Azure databases were updated to v12.

unfortunately, Azure still doesn't support dropping the clustered index - I still Need to implement a workaround (drop and recreate)
