This might be a silly question since I'm not super familiar with friendly urls settings.

We recently upgraded our DNNArticle Module and before the upgrade each article's url was listed like this

https://www.hcca-info.org/Resources/V...

now it's listing them like this

http://www.hcca-info.org/Resources/Vi...

It's not a huge deal but we have a ton of emails and bitlys set up to go to the old url and now those are all showing 404 errors. I was told this can be fixed, but to fix it it would break all of our short links. (example www.hcca-info.org/surveys) because they don't include the .aspx. They said it was because the way we create our short urls. (We add a file into the ftp at the root and put a line of text in there that says to redirect to the full url page.

Any suggestion on what would be the best way to fix this problem. I want our old survey urls to work, but I don't want to have to fix all of our short urls (we have hundreds). What is best practice. How do other people create short urls?

you should ask the module developer/vendor for support.
