Hi,

how do you do all ?

Sorry, i'm a newbie in DNN. but has a little programming in asp.net,

could anyone kindly help me please ?

i got a case where all the content images are heading to our previous dev. and there's so much of them which will consume energy, time and mood.

ex :

http://MYDEVELOPMENTSITE.COM/Portals/0/images/Treatments/image1.jpg

i wish all the content changed to :

http://MYLIVESITE/Portals/0/images/Treatments/image1.jpg

because the development server are going to be removed.

Thank you.

usually all local paths should be stored server relative like /portals/0/images/image0.png,

If you need to modify for all existing module, at least for all HTML modules there is a free search & replace module from www.engagemodules.com

Hi Sebastian, thank you for your reply. it means that, all the path was stored on the files ? not in the database right ? so, i have to replace all the MYDEVELOPMENTSITE.COM string to MYLIVESITE string in every file that contains it right ? Thank you for your links too. i'm taking a look at it.

no, all HTML content is stored in the database. Engagemodules tool does go through all entries in the database of course, domain relative paths need to remain the same, when moving the site, do not use www.mydomain.com and copy locally to localhost/dnn
