You need to develop a module that utilizes the component and distribute it with your module. Outside of that, you question is far too general.

Are you aware of any great reporting modules for DNN that report against an Microsoft SQL database?

DNNReports has been sunsetted years ago, please stay away, unless you are able to maintain the code by yourself!
