Can anyone recommend a decent help desk module?

It would, unfortunately, need to support MSSQL Server. I really just need a sort of hardware/software support ticket system. I don't need all the other features a help desk module might have, like CSR chat.

I would probably use Bugzilla if it supported MSSQL, but it looks like they are a few releases away from that yet.

ADEF Helpdesk is pretty good, Onyaktech also has such a module (paid solution). Thanks.

You may find that the core module and the Email Monitor will help save you alot of time with bug tracking since you can interact with the system via email only if you desire it.   To create a new issue, just send in a new email to the email address SigmaPro is monitoring.  To add a new comment to an existing task just reply to an email generated by SigmaPro for that task.

You may also find SigmaPro Everest very useful. It's a Windows application add-on to SigmaPro that helps you work through multiple tasks very quickly.
