I am writing for help with the Blog module . . . we decided to activate and start using the Blog module, but it keeps telling us that Edit Entry is Not Available, which basically means we can't do anything.  I understand that there's a fix, but you have to convert to HTML to do it, but can't figure out how.  In other text modules, converting to HTML is easy, but I can't tell how to do that with the blog modules.

What version of the Blog module and DNN are you using?

not sure -- sorry to be stupid, but I don't have HTML, JAVA, or any computer language training. I'm just an office manager for a tiny non-profit organization! A few years ago we hired someone to set us up, and then another update was done about 2 years ago, but that's it. The consultant moved out of state and isn't really available to us anymore, and honestly, we try to limp along w/o one to save $$. I had thought about updating the software myself, but since I don't know how to do a backup of the site I decided to try the patch suggested by someone else on the Forum. Is there a way to easily tell what version we have?

I don't think my reply was submitted . . . I'm not sure of the version number, is there a way to find that out on the website itself? The last time anything was upgraded or changed was 2007 or 2008 by a consultant we hired years ago to provide us with a website that we could update ourselves in a Windows-based format. I was going to try to download the latest version, but we don't "own" the DNN software for our site, it's the former consultant's software, so I'm not sure that it will work even if I knew how to backup the website and how to download/import the software. This is why I was asking about how to convert the Blog module to HTML so that we can try the fix mentioned in another Forum posting. I have emailed the former consultant (they moved out of state) to see if they can help, but if not or if I don't get a reply, I'm hoping this Forum can be of assistance to a non-programmer, non-computer science degree office manager! Thanks.
