Hey guys,

I have had DNN installed on my local machine for the last while as a test platform and proof of concept before I could present it to the rest of the Dev team. At the start of this week I moved my installation from local to our production server using the instructions in the blogs section of this site.

I added content and it all displayed fine, I could make change and they showed up fine until yesterday when I was editing the home page and hit 'save' I got the following error;

Error: is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Deleted 0 files, however, some files are locked. Could not delete the following files: D:\Traffic\Web\Help\Portals\0\\Cache\Modules\75_ACABA51644A302FBB325E30E7931BAF8.attrib.resources;D:\Traffic\Web\Help\Portals\0\\Cache\Modules\75_ACABA51644A302FBB325E30E7931BAF8.data.resources; ---> System.IO.IOException: Deleted 0 files, however, some files are locked. Could not delete the following files: D:\Traffic\Web\Help\Portals\0\\Cache\Modules\75_ACABA51644A302FBB325E30E7931BAF8.attrib.resources;D:\Traffic\Web\Help\Portals\0\\Cache\Modules\75_ACABA51644A302FBB325E30E7931BAF8.data.resources; at DotNetNuke.Services.ModuleCache.FileProvider.Remove(Int32 tabModuleId) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.ModuleController.SynchronizeModule(Int32 moduleID) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Html.HtmlTextController.UpdateHtmlText(HtmlTextInfo objHtmlText, Int32 MaximumVersionHistory) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Html.EditHtml.cmdSave_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

When I am signed in as an admin/host user and in "Edit" mode I can see the changes that I made just before I hit 'save' and got the error above, however when I am in "View" mode or when I am not signed in then I see the pages as they were before that error.

Suggestions??? I realy need to get this sorted as DotNetNuke was my baby for this project!!!!

Kyle

What version of DNN are you on? I would upgrade to the 5.5 release. You might need to reset your permissions on the website folder as well if there are permission issues occuring with removing cache

DNN Version: 5.4.1 (Ill upgrade now) Ive just noticed that the HTML module is version 5.1.3 and all the other modules are either 1.0 or 4. something, could that be a problem?

All sotred now!! The problem was a simple permission problem on the folder in produciton server. Bascially cos the company Im with is huge theyre very strict on production server permissions! So when I asked for "full assess" for DNN they gave me "Read and Write" but not "Modify"! A lesson that corportate "Teams" are bloody annoying to work with! Thanks for your help guys!
