I am completely brand new to this CMS and need a little help!  Does anyone out there have any idea whatsoever how I can create some kind of plugin or code that recognises keywords within page content and copy and internally link these to certain pages within the site.

For example, the website is on pop music, everytime the word 'Madonna' is seen on a unique page, the first instance of this is automatically linked to 'www.example.com/madonna'  Basically, as Wikipedia do throughout their site. Any ideas?

Any help would be gratefully received.

Dave,

I'm going to give you a suggestion that can get you started but may not be the ultimate solution. There is a module called WatchersNET.TagCloud and you can get it from http://www.watchersnet.de/DotNetNuke/Module/TagCloud.aspx

One of the features of this module is to look into the internal search database of DNN and create a Tag Cloud view of the search terms. These search terms are words gathered by the internal DNN search engine from the content of the website. At the end, each word in the tag cloud points to a URL with the following format:

/SearchResults.aspx?Search=WORD

where "WORD" is any term within your content.

When you access such URL, the page will display a list of pages in the entire website that have the term WORD within the page's content. So it works as a way to search and filter pages that have the same term.

So this could be what you want, or this could be just a starting point. The good thing is that this module if free and it comes with source code which you can use as a starting point to what you want.

I hope I didn't confuse you too much!

Good luck,
-Aderson
