All my documents in my document module have become disconneted. What do I mean by this? Well, when viewing the documents listed in the document module I see that "Unknown" appears under the "Size(kb)" column for all the documents. Futhermore, when I click on a document to "Download", I recieve the following error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

I am running DNN 04.08.00.

Is there any fix to the problem, since i have over a hundred documents in the document module.

Thanks!

if you are running DNN 4.8.0, my first advice is upgrading at least to 4.9.5, which shouldn't be a big deal - but the vulnerability of your site is significant!!! What happened is an issue in the scheduled file sync, which has been worked around in DNN 4.9 (by removing this option). Unfortunately there is no fix for your issue than restoring previous backup or manually adjusting the links.

Hi Tkerkman,

This happened, when you overwrite uploaded documents via Admin->File Manager.

You must simply refresh documents in the Documents module in the following way:

Click edit on document and then update without changes.(do it for all documents in the Documents module).
In the future you can overwrite via FTP.

Martin
