My experience with DNN is very limited.  I have one site that I created about 2 years ago but I have only been asked to work on it when there is a BIG problem, which are usually out of my league.  So I do not even know where to start to correct this problem without completly messing up the whole thing.  Due to a necessary upgrade to DNN the UDT module is having a problem.  When I add a new record everything is fine but when I tried to edit the display settings and change the .xsl file it will not allow me to save it and gives me the following error:

A critical error has occurred.
Method not found: 'Void DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.FileSystemUtils.SynchronizeFolder(Int32, System.String, System.String, Boolean, Boolean, Boolean)'. A critical error has occurred.

The UDT version is:

Module: DNN_UserDefinedTable
Version: 3.4.0
Definition: User Defined Table
Control:
Source: DesktopModules/UserDefinedTable/UserDefinedTable.ascx

I am pretty sure we are upgraded to 5.3.1 on DNN

Please give me any direction you can on how to repair this problem.

You probably need to upgrade the UDT module to the latest version, that module is now known as FORM & LIST, so you could upgrade to the latest Form & List module.

Backup your website/database before you upgrade the module though just in case.
