HI,

Maybe im missing something or maybe its an issue that's already been addressed but i cant see,

I am starting a website that allows other users to create free portals for them to create their own dotnetnuke portal. I want potential users to be able to have a look at the modules on offer and to test drive them. Now they could just sign up and that would solve my problem, However, the whole idea is to appeal to any visitor to my website, i dont want them to feel they have to sign up just to have a go. I want them to use it, like it and then sign up.

I have created a sub-domain that has a HTML module in it. I have set the Edit Module permission to allow unauthorised users and when i log out to test there is a View / Edit control bar at the top. but it will only allow a user to view and not to select the edit option. Is there something in the settings i need to change?

Is this too dangerous to do for unauthorised users? can they inject code into the HTML part of the module.

I have created a class that deletes the information every 6 hours and that is placed into my Scheduler so the changes a user makes arent the problem.

Can anyone help?

Kind Regards

Sean

Do you mean the edit action menu not being activated? That one is controlled through the module definition and is only allowed for the admin. I think sql injection etc. is moved out, but you are only sure if you checkout the source code or code yourself a module.

What about a link with an RSVP code which signs up to a role which is linked to the editors role? In that scenario you can directly give the user wanting to edit a role. On the rsvp page you can maybe put a redirect back.
