The 7th of January is a national holiday in Cambodia, commemorating the liberation of Phnom Penh from the Khmer Rouge regime. This gives me a long weekend which I would like to spend researching an issue using the source code.

Two questions.

(1)  I am going to install the DNN 5.6.0 source code package using instructions found on adefwebserver.com. These instructions are for DNN 4 and I think for installation on Windows XP or 2003. I think I can solve any problems arising from this, but if anyone knows of issues that may arise, I would be grateful for advise. Any reference to more apropriate instructions for DNN 5 and IIS 7.5 would be highly appreciated.

(2) I have an external extension that works perfectly under DNN 5 when the shin object is programmed in the ascx file. But when using the skin token in the html file, it fails to translate to the proper code. So, what I want to do is to step through the process when one clicks "Parse Skin Package" to understand how that process works and why the extension fails. If I would know where to put my initial breakpoint, it might save me a lot of research. Of course, a link to (freely available) information about the process of skin parsing would be welcome.
