Hi Folks,

I have a customer for whom I am using a standalone AspDotNetStorefront e-commerce application. It’s an old one and they aren’t much interested in upgrading the license. All payments are for members of the organization (a union) for dues, health insurance, etc. It might be a little more “fire power” than they need. At any rate they want to move the payment stuff to the DNN site. They don’t feel they need the full e-commerce deal just the basic shopping cart approach.

Two questions:

What are folks recommending for shopping carts with DNN these days?

My understanding is that if all payments go directly to say Goggle Checkout or PayPal and no card information is saved that should be PCI compliant. Is that the consensus among the DNN people using shopping carts?

Thanks for any advice.

Hi,

There are 2 free options you have. the DNN Store or NB_Store (http://nbstore.codeplex.com/)

From what you say your requirments are, it seems you don;t need product options, so the DNN Store would do what you need.

And yes your right, if your using paypal or google checkout it will be PCI compliant.

Regards,
Dave.

Thanks for the quick reply Dave. The DNN Store or NB_Store sounds like a promising option. I'll check them out.
