Hi,

I have an Events module on a page  and when a user enrols for an event the entire site is brough down with an error 500 Timeout Expired.  When I look at windows task manager on the server I see w2wp.exe is maxed out at 100% CPU.

This is production site and people are enrolling for events-  so this is a massive problem right now - and short of removing the Events module I cannot see a solution to this. The only thing that differs from my usual default installation is that this site uses Active Directory authentication - but I wouldn't have thought that should have any bearing on anything.

Please help if you know what could be causing such a catastrophic error....

thanks,
James

Further to the above message, this is a DNN 05.04.02 installation. I have just updated the events module to 05.01.05 - however this has made no difference.

I observed the following:
1. I clicked Enrol for event.
2. I received the Enrolment email.
3. I then requested a page a couple of times and that worked fine.
4. I requested the page a few seconds later and the error has occurred.

The problem only occurs after a user enrols for an event- but it seems to be caused by something that is triggered after the enrolment is taking place.

Any information will be gratefully received as we're trying to fix this as a priority 1.

regards,
James
