Hi everyone,

I am using the Links Module to display a bullet list of four links. For some reason, this module does not show up on all the pages where I would like. In Edit mode, I see everything great. However, change to the actual web viewing, and I don't see a thing.

This is just really strange. Sometimes if I recreate the page, it starts showing up. However, I shouldn't have to recreate a page a million times to get a module to suddenly start showing up by chance. This "recreate page" process only worked for me once and a half.

For the pages where the module shows up, I have replicated those settings exactly on the pages where the modules do not show. I get no luck. This obstacle is quite frustrating, and it's deeply cutting into my project time. This is not the first time I have run into a major issue like this with DNN for something that seems to be simple. Starting to make me question the quality of this open source compared to other CMS's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I cannot be the only one that has run into this obstacle.

Thank you for your time.

please check the module permissions - it needs to be visible to users in view mode - note: modules automatically inherit permissions from the page unless the inherit checkbox is used.

Thank you for your response. Permissions was the first thing I checked. Even with everything checked all the way down in view mode, the problem still occurs. It is also doing this to the HTML module on some pages. It really makes no sense at all to me. I'm completely puzzled.

I built my pages one at a time and tried avoiding the inheriting of pages to try to work around the problem as well. No matter the angle I try, I still get stuck. I've been trying to troubleshoot this for over a week, and this forum is like my last resource string to find some outside perspective help. I can't find anyone who knows how to solve it.   :/

I am open to any suggestions, so please don't hesitate to throw them out there. :)

Even if I duplicate a page, the modules don't show up? Really?

can you check the admin->event viewer and see if an error is being logged? Also, does it show the module title and just not the content or not anything at all?
