I have a site being managed by the client for the last couple of years. I got on the site to do an upgrade and saw a bunch of events related to the Invenmanager Facility Booking module. Apparently the link to edit a booking was indexed by a search bot and now it keeps trying to hit that link. According to Invenmanager it throws an object reference error because it doesn't have permissions to edit a booking.

So how do most people deal with this? It is causing dozens of errors a day and over time the eventlog table is growing too much.

The thing is they used the module for a while, but not recently. But they want to keep it for future use. So I cannot uninstall it.

I thought if I moved the page under another menu item and/or made it only visible to Admins the errors would stopped. They kept coming and now it is showing that it is using the new url based on where I moved the page too.

I just don't see issues like this on other sites with modules that have edit capability. Any ideas?

Add a robots.txt file to your root directory and include any files or paths that you dont want searched by search crawlers.
