I would like to remove the menu when I link to a page  in my site while using an iframe, how can this be done?

why don't you link to the page in the frame with a different skin source and in that skin you don't include the menu?

If you mean you would like to remove the menu in the site that you are pulling into your iFrame, have a look at "Harpoon" (http://www.snowcovered.com/Snowcovered2/product/Modules/WebHarpoon-v50-Page-Scraper-or-Iframe-replacement/id/16136)  It's been a few years since I've used this module, but it worked well at the time :)
