Hi all

I have created a brand new module. It is very simple and comprised of a few labels, TextBox, a dropdownlist and a button. I have not yet connected any events in the ascx.vb file.  There is no code there whatsoever. And I get the following exception when ever I try to open the test page creted at the module creation. It does not give me much info as to where to look.

Without seeing your code to know for sure, my best "guess" is that your module control does not properly inherit from DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase as the exception is being thrown prior to your module's handling (if any) of the Page_Init or Page_Load events.
