DNN V 6.00.02.

If a user tries to register and puts a password less than 7 characters, the screen flashes, presents a new security key, and no error message telling the user what is wrong.  Folks try repeatedly to register without a clue as to why it fails.  It would be best if there was a dynamic message on screen similar to the Passwords don't match message, but at the least it should tell the user the password isn't valid.

How can we fix this?

I was not able to resolve this problem. I ended up downloading the Data Springs Dynamic Registration module trial. It does solve the problem, but is more than we need--especially since this should be a basic function of DotNetNuke without purchasing an additional module. If we can't find another solution, we'll have to purchase the module. A very big solution for a very small problem...
