I am looking for a free module or some advice to set up an image popup sort of like the image popup on facebook.

Where you click on the thumbnail and the page fades with a larger image on top.

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this or even if I am making any sense.

the lightbox gallery module is probably the easiest option, though you might want to evaluate a few other gallery type modules - see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Extensions-Forge/view/ProjectSearch/content/gallery.aspx
