Hi,

I am new in DNN and I would like to know how to copy or make a reference of a module to use it in another different site. I already know how to do it in the same site but not in another one.

Thank you so much!

Hello,

I am not aware of a way to reference a module in a separate site but it is possible to export the module content and then import it into another site.

To do so log into your site and go into edit mode. Hover over the "manage button" for the module you want to export content from. One of the options in the menu is "export content" click that and then choose the template folder to save the file to. You can then use the file manager to navigate to the template folder and download the module template. BTW you can do the same thing with the complete page.

Next navigate to your second site and place the same type of module on the page. Again use the file manager to upload the file to the template folder. Once uploaded hover over the the manage button and choose "import". You will then be able to navigate to and import the content.

If the content is changing on site 1 and you want those changes in site 2 also, then you might want to try to use an iframe on site 2 to frame the content from site one.

 HTH

Rich
