I am looking for a module that will provide a vertical menu on my site. The initial view of this menu would be only the root items. If you click on an item, it would open a new page with any child items on the menu showing. As long as the page is a child item, it still shows on the menu. Is there a menu that will do this? Thanks.

All of DNN's menus can accomplish this, it's just a matter of marking the settings properly. DNN 6 introduces a new menu called the DDR menu which is fairly flexible - granted the documentation on it is still a little young. And SolPart in DNN5 and below.

You'll most likely need to use two different menus - one for parent navigation and a different module for child pages, but you can just keep re-adding those two modules to the pages. You'll probably want to make some adjustments via CSS as well.

I second using the DDR Menu module, I use this all the time although it took me a while to figure it out. If not already installed, you can download it from CodePlex http://dnnddrmenu.codeplex.com/ and the module reference guide is here http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/DDRMenu-reference-guide.aspx

I have installed the DDR menu, but I haven't played around with them much. I am puzzled on how to add 2 different menus. Could you help me out on this concept? Are you saying 2 separate menus that both show on the same page? Or are you saying 2 separate menus but only one show depending on what page you are on? If so, how do I make that happen? In the skin? Thank you for the help so far!
