Greetings,

I am wondering - though I see no such possiblity from the module settings - if I can dynamically change the 'results scope' for the search results module based on form input.

For instance, my default search uses results scope A, but I want to include a checkbox in the search form and if this is checked I want to search both results scopes A & B.

Is this at all doable using the default DNN search? Are there other search modules available which will allow this functionality?

Many thanks for any advice.

What do you mean by Scope? DNN always searches all the portal, according to current user's permissions.

By Scope I mean, in the Search Results module settings, under the tab 'Search Crawler Results Settings' is a setting for: Results Scope, which provides for a list of indexes to search against.

I want to dynamically select which indexes to search using input from the Search module. That is, default search to Index A, with a checkbox: Do you also want to search Index B?

Or at least something along those lines.

thanks.

this sounds like you are using Search Crawler in DNN Professional, not DNN default portal search. Am I correct?
