Have you found any solution to this propblem. I have just installed DNN and received this error when I tried to build the website:

Could not create type 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Journal.ProfilePic'. DesktopModules/Journal/ProfilePic.ashx

Thanks

Are you using the Source version?  I'd recommend the Install version for Development.

Aside from that, I have run into issues similar when I am debugging and Visual Studio loads one of the included modules while I am debugging one of my custom modules (example.  I had my module on a page that also included the Links module).

If it ever loaded the Links.cs code while I was debugging my module, it would cause problems with the Links module next time I ran the site.  I had to copy the Links module from another site to get it working again.

There seems to be a file in the install package that shouldn't have been included. If you see a file named ProfilePic.ashx in the DesktopModules/Journal directory you can safely delete this file. This file was created before we moved to handler that was integrated with the core project.
