I have a scenario where I want to put a form into a table cell. So how do I do this? I cannot put a HTML form straight into the HTML module or if I can, how do I resolve the viewstate issue? I do not seem to be able to put a Form module in an HTML module.

So how do I place a form into a table cell??

thanks

you need to create a module (or razor script) for this purpose.

PS: another option is integrating an HTML form using an IFrame module instance.

hhhmmm .... thanks for the timely response but not exactly a solution. Indeed, this seems a real deficiency that I cannot drop a form wherever I want to without some grief :)

So moving on, I have a form where I want it in the page but upon submitting the form to an aspx file sitting on the filesystem I get the viewstate error:

Validation of viewstate MAC failed. If this application is hosted by a Web Farm or cluster, ensure that <machineKey> configuration specifies the same validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a cluster.

You can assume I am not on a web farm or cluster. And I have removed the <form> tags and am using the onClick event on the submit button.
