Using DNN 5.6.2 on multiple portal installation.  Trying to setup the module inside the Form and List Configuration , I get an immediate "The requested URL was rejected, Please consult with your administrator. and then a long id .

What is this error and where can it be coming from and how to or where to look to correct?  Host admin says it's the same error when trying to upload a larger than the system can handle files, but that is set at 15MB.

This has plagued us for several weeks and occurs on other module installs as well.

Need help in the troubleshooting area for this.

Thanks,

Mike

The message doesnt come from DotNetNuke -it comes from the browser (or in one case I found came from BIG-IP http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie8-windows_other/error-message-the-requested-url-was-rejected/44211ece-c9b2-4778-82b4-154a4eb1f87d ). There are also a ton of reports that it comes from browser help objects/trojans (e.g. http://forums.cnet.com/7723-12546_102-501288/the-requested-url-was-rejected-please-consult-system-admin/ ), however the most common effect seems to be corrupted files in the temporary internet files of your browser - most people report that after clearing their temporary internet files (and cookies) and restarting their browser the problem goes away, so I would try that first.

Thought I'd let you know this happens to be a larger problem than the browser files.  It seems the hoster has added a security program on top of the overall host portal, and that seems to be causing the issue of getting the URL rejection.  The cure seems to be a patch to the  program, but the security hole still remains per my system analyst.  The program was successfully upgraded to 5.6.8 but still did not fix the issue.  So I'll let the hosted and the host admin figure it out.  Thanks for the info - it was helpful as a place to start to look for answers.
