So what is the best way to implement the use of the CDC widgets?

http://www.cdc.gov/widgets/

We had these in use for the last few years by pasting the code into the HTML pane of the Text Module, but they are no longer working that way.

Is there a different module that would be better suited to doing this?

The html module will strip out alot of the code in those widgets.  you have 2 options.

1. If you have Host access to the dnn install and it's 6.x or higher.  go to Host>HTML Editor Manager , select "everyone" from the tree... then uncheck the content filters for "removescripts" and "encodescripts" - usually those two alone will fix your problem but beware - this opens up your site to any content author on the site to post malicious scripts.

2. if the embed/scripts are short... add an html module like you used to, add a space for the html content (has to have something in there to display) and put the embed stuff in the module settings ;) (settings>modulesettings>advanced settings> header - this method works like a champ as long as the scripts are short.

Awesome!

Option #2 worked like a champ, and if I run into a need for a longer script I'll look at #1. I knew there was a way to do that, I just couldn't find it...

Thanks!
