First time poster here - greetings!

I am seeking advise on how to best go about satisfying a client's requirement to have emails sent out to event attendees after an event ends. The purpose of these emails will be to thank the user for attending and also to prompt them to complete a feedback form about the event.

i guess that fully depends on how the attendees are registered for the event in the first place. If you put them in a separate role, then you can easily send out an email using the standard Newsletter functionality (admin > newsletters)

I use the email program from onyaktech and which allows me to use sql to do a lot of custom emails. works great

Erik,
Attendees will generally register from an event details page, by clicking the "Enroll" link/button. They are not being added to any roles by enrolling. Because the client wants emails sent to attendees for only the specific event they attended, I'm thinking that roles may not be a good approach for this application. That would mean having to create specific roles for each event or using a single role to simply target all users that have ever attended any event.

I was looking at the "Email Selected Enrolled Users" function from the edit event page, but it looks like that would mean updating the default email template for the event each time a different email message was entered.
