What does side bar module have to do with a container in content pane?

I created a new site and I wanted to use the scrolling series of pictures that are on the default site.   It says in the HTML it is a container.  I changed the images and wording with no problem.

It worked GREAT!

Then I deleted the HTML modules on the bottom of the page.  When I delete the HTML module in the Side Bar pane then the pictures in the scrolling picture container in the Content pane just WENT AWAY.  Yet the module is still there in the edit mode and I can edit it and nothing has changed, the pictures just do NOT SHOW UP ON THE PAGE.

How do I get that module to show the pictures?

What does that side bar pane have that makes the pictures show up in content pane?  I thought it might have the code for he container, but it does not show when I edit HTML.

I even went back and added a copy of that side bar module back on the page, yet the images are still NOT VISIBLE in the content pane.

You can go to http://www.pearland.com/testsite2/hom...  This is a copy of http://www.pearland.com/testsite2/Hom... with the other modules taken off.

http://www.pearland.com/testsite2/hom... is a copy of the home page and everything deleted EXCEPT the side bar pane module and the pictures WORK FINE.

If I delete the side bar module, then the pictures GO AWAY
