I've configured the module per Bruce Chapman's article on turning a DNN site social but the child pages under user profile are not displaying.  Here is the link to, procedure and code from Bruce' blog:

Link: http://www.ifinity.com.au/2012/07/31/Turn_your_DotNetNuke_site_into_a_Social_Network_in_10_minutes

Procedure:  From Step 4, items 11-14, because of renumbering these become 1-4, and 3 ii, 3 iii and 3 iv are the steps in question.  nothing shows up in the console module to set up child pages of the parent page.

Obvious question: This site is DNN 07.00.06 (121) and the article is written for DNN 6.  Has the module changed to where this configuration is no longer available?

  1. Go to the module settings for the ‘Console’ module on the User Profile page.   This will become the in-page menu for the User Profile pages.
  2. Change the module Title to ‘Menu’
  3. In the ‘Console Settings’ tab, set these value:
    • Mode : Profile
    • My Profile : ‘All Users’
    • Friends : ‘Friends’
    • Messages : ‘User’
    • Default Icon Size : ‘No Icons’
    • Allow Icon Resize : unchecked
    • Default View : ‘Simple View’
    • Allow View Change : unchecked
    • Show Tooltip : unchecked
    • Width : empty
  4. Click update to save and close the module settings.
Code:  The "code" is the page configuration.  Setting up the module in Profile mode should "snag" the child pages but nothing shows up.  I see all other configuration functions except for configuring child pages as menu options.

I've checked my setup several times but step 13 the Menu module is not displaying the child pages: In the ‘Console Settings’ tab, set these value. I've looked all over, can't find the issue. We're on DNN 7. All else is configuring well. Mode : Profile My Profile : ‘All Users’ <-- not in the menu Friends : ‘Friends’ <-- not in the menu Messages : ‘User’ <-- not in the menu Default Icon Size : ‘No Icons’ Allow Icon Resize : unchecked Default View : ‘Simple View’ Allow View Change : unchecked Show Tooltip : unchecked Width : empty

Could someone from DNN please respond to this?  I am having the same issue with DNN 7.1.1

the module should still work as expected, i.e. list a couple of child pages.
If you need a real site menu with multiple levels, I would use DDRmenu module.

Cheers from Germany,
