I upgraded a 6.2.2 installation to 7.1 recently.  One site has users who can add/edit/delete their own banners through a Vendor module.

After the upgrade, their rights no longer allow them to edit their banners or create new ones.  Even after they click on the 'Edit Page' (control page is turned on so they can use this function), the only thing that appears is the help icon for the module.

I confirmed this same behavior on a test installation of 7.1 as well.

Another module that the upgrade affected was the old Form and List (ver 6.0.4), but that has a settings page that allows editors for the module and specific rights.  All we had to do was turn on the editing rights and that module worked normally.

Can anyone else verify that this is a bug?  I check DNNTracker (formerly Gemini), but I can't find this issue documented.

please switch control panel to "Ribbon Bar" in Host Settings and retry.
please report your findings to the issue tracker, to get it fixed in a future version.

Sorry Sebastian, that didn't help.  There still aren't any pencils in the column to the left of the vendor name and the only thing in the dropdown is help.

I'll see if there is a current issue on this and put it in the tracker. If not, I'll create one.

Thanks

sorry Bob, did you try using default skin and container - I noticed some weird control positions myself in a few upgraded sites.

Yep, plus I tested this on a clean install of 7.1.0 with the default gravity skin.  It's not just the pencil next to the gear, but it's the pencil that is inside the grid.  That one shouldn't move from the left of the vendor name.  Also, all other controls have the edit pencil.  I enable the text module just above the vendor module to show that the user's editing rights are enabled correcty and the edit pencil on the vendor module should be there.

I'll load a snapshot of our dev server's new installation of 7.1.0 with the gravity skin and a vendor module on the home page.   I have enable module level rights for the control panel so the user can switch on edit mode.
