I'd like to use the Radcontrols Calendar, but I can't find how to start.

I've found this link, but I don't think it's relevant as it seems to use dnn4.4. Creating module definitions? does that still exists in dnn7? the licencing seems to be outdated.

For the CE your seem to be allowed to use the radcontrols "Only through abstract "wrappers" provided by the DNN platform ", native development (i.e. <telerik:RadGrid ID="RadGrid1" runat="server" />) is not permitted. see http://www.telerik.com/purchase/faqs/telerik-dnn-partnership-qanda.aspx under 'How do you license Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX within DotNetNuke?'

Telerik states
"RadCalendar for ASP.NET AJAX is a lightweight yet highly advanced date input control for ASP.NET AJAX. The product offers unique features like adjacent months preview, multi-month view, context menus, etc. RadCalendar can be used as a nice and efficient replacement of the default DNN events module. "

What does that mean? I get the impression that we may use the treeview in the pages list and file browser, but when you reuire an other treeview, you're not allowed to. The only radcontrol that you can use in a page meant for visitors seems to be the radeditor, as it is used in the html/text module.

The calendar radcontrol doesn't seem to be used in any wrapper. Am I missing something?

Bottom line: Can present a Radcontrols Calendar to my visitors without having to pay $999 for the radcontrols or request a quote for an evoq licence?

there is a DNN calendar (datepicker) control, AFAIR it does incorporate RAD controls, but most of recent controls prefer jQueryUI.
You may check out the Wiki for documentation - If there is none, you might need to dig into source code, sorry.
