So I tried the answers thing, it's okay, slow and no way to ask followup questions it seems and assure they get seen.

There is the question I asked for reference.
I'm a bit more confused than every now unfortunately. I'm looking for some insight from someone with experience with any of the 3 forum modules.
- DNN Core Forum
- Active Forums (codeplex version)
- Yet Another Forum
One of the posters providing an answer to my question post recommended YAF, stating that it had some advantages and yet some issues still; however without providing any specifics that information is useless.
Can anyone offer any insight into the pros/cons of these in a comparative manner. I see that Evoq social has "Discussions" listed as a selling point, what are they using for discussions in that?
I'm not looking for point systems, or recommendations or ratings, I do need a decently strong forum system though as I expect it to be used quite extensively. The ability to do posts with polls would be nice, but is not an absolute must have. What I do need:
- Categories
- Sub-categories
- Sub-forums
- Decent moderation (We're not gonna touch SMF or MyBB, I know, but something understandable would be nice)
- Image posting (Auto thumb-nailing/resizing would be nice, as would lightboxes when clicking the thumbnail)
- Code blocks (I doubt there are any with syntax highlighting, but if so great)
- Avatars
Thanks in advance for any information.
