How do I grant users permission to use certain modules? Currently in my DNN site, a user has to be an Administrator to use any Module other than HTML. I don't want to make everyone admins, but need them to be able to use other modules.

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom,

In Admin > Site Settings and then the 'Advanced' tab scroll down to 'Host Settings' (when logged in as host of course). There you will see "Premium modules", you can then add or remove the modules that can be used in that portal.

Another thing you can do ( and I think this is the way for you to use) is: In the Admin > Extension you can edit the permissions of individual module and give rights to modules by role.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Geoff.

Thanks Geoff!

The second method you gave, going into Admin > Extensions and editing the individual module settings, seems to work for my needs . Thanks alot, I wasn't aware of that.

Your first method, using Admin > Site Settings and then Advanced> Host Settings, I don't see Premium Modules. Maybe my DNN version (Community 7.1.2) doesn't include that feature.

But the Extensions Settings seems to work great for me. Thanks  a lot!!

Tom
