Tried all the modules available but non of the modules can really replace Newsarticles:

For now we use EasyDNNNews but it's not what we hoped for. Userinterface is terrible... multilanguage support very poor

There is a new module  DnnC News Stand http://store.dnnsoftware.com/home/product-details/dnnc-news-stand-news-articles-blogs-editorials-whitepapers-stories-v11002

Excellent userinterface ... and has a lot of potential...

Alernatives/suggestions? Or should we be stay with
EasyDNNNews?

What features in particular you're looking for and are missing in the modules you checked out?

We're in a similar boat. News articles has exceptional flexibility in allowing different authors, templates, and custom fields - most of the things we've found are setup as "blogs" for one author - which I find to be generally useless.

Second, the news articles "Latest" module is incredibly helpful - it shows articles from some instance of the module matching some filter and then lets you template it any way you need.

The combination of those two features mean you can use news articles for all kinds of things beyond a simple blog. We have it drive the major content in some areas - and it's been great. Things about it are definitely dated, and I've also thought about how helpful it would be to have something new.

One hesitation I've had, though, is MVC/vNext. I'd be reluctant to dump a bunch of resources into building something only to have it become largely useless in a year or two. I've figured I'd stay on News Articles and then see what new options show up next year. If nothing does, I might try to build my own.

Hi Mike,

DigArticle does all that, multiple authors (you can actually have an author and other related users per article for co-authors, contributors).  Our dashboard module has 17 items including "Articles" which lists articles based on criteria and it's 100% template driven.  There are default templates, but you can customize your own to make it look however you want.  You can sort by publish date,  event date, title, custom field, and many other sorts.  We just released DigArticle 7, here are the details.  If you find something that you can do in News Articles and not DigArticle, let me know and I will look into adding it.

Thanks
Mike
