I am brand new to DNN and am trying to use Evoq Content Enterprise v07.03.04 (45) on Win2008R2 to build an extranet for members of my organization.

Question 1:

We are replacing an existing extranet which presently uses Active Directory authentication so I want to use AD auth with DNN as well.  I have downloaded and installed the DNN_ActiveDirectoryAuthentication v5.0.6 module and believe I have configured it correctly, however I am unable to login using AD auth in DNN with a known good AD account.  I've tried setting the root domain several ways (LDAP://<IP Addr of DC>, LDAP://<DomainName>, dc=domain,dc=suffix, etc) and experience the same issue each way.  Is there some sort of debug information / log file that I can view that might give me insight as to where the failure is occurring?

Question 2:

Our AD structure is setup such that there is one domain for employees and a second domain for our members / constituents.  The server running DNN is a member of the employee domain, but I want it to authenticate users from both domains.  Is this problematic?  There is a 1 way trust from the employee domain to the member domain.  Assuming this should work, I further presume that if I set the default domain to the member domain then they shouldn't have to specify a domain when logging in (they just need to specify their user name), and if an employee wants to login, they'd just need to specify their username as domain\user.  Does that sound right?

I have installed the "Auth: Active Directory" Control.
I need to connect my website with the active directory, but it doesn’t show me the options for typing the domain data.

Additionally, I would like you to help me with the required information for managing the roles for those users.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Kind regards,
