Hi everyone, I am following this blog series tutorial
http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community-blog/cid/155064/module-development-for-non-developers-skinners-dnn-beginners--blog-series-intro
from Clinton Patterson, so I've been following every step from the beginning to the end.
I am also using Cris Hammond template for VS2013.

Once it's done I install the module, everything is okay till then.
After that, I create a new page and when dragging the module into the container, VS2013 jumps into my screen showing the next error in the view.ascx file of the module (line 29):
It says:"The user code didn't controll NullReferenceException" and the additional info says:"object reference not set to an instance of an object"
May the problem be in the part of the code where my module looks for the bool value of a variable defined in the settings.ascx, choosing whether to show the completed tasks or not?
Looks like that value isn't still set...

And as soon as I press continue button at VS2013, dnn shows this:
If i click again the page containing the module, everything works like a charm, as you can see next:
Finally if I look at the event viewer it also points to the 29 line at my module view.ascx, throwing a pageload exception:

that would suggest an issue in the settings class (http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community-...) - but it's hard to guess what without seeing all your code
