I'm new to DNN, replacing my company website and need a little help.

In my about page on my old site, I have a little line of text that states that I've been in business for 24 years.  I don't explicitly write the number 24, but instead slip in a simple little javascript to calculate it, like this:

<p>

For over

<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript">

var d = new Date();

var y = d.getFullYear();

document.write(y - 1991)

</script>

years, we've been...

My attempts at this in DNN so far have failed.  Is there some way to write in-line javascript?  Or some other way to accomplish the same thing?

Thanks.

Inline Javascript tends to get removed by the HTML editor. A couple of options are

1) Use the Razor Host Module (probably not ideal here)
2) Put the Inline JS into the Header/ or Footer section (along with the content around that year)
3) Switch into the BASIC view, instead of the Rich Text Editor when editing that content, from there switch to HTML, put the javascript in, and save the content.

I would start with option 3, not sure why I made that option 3 instead of 1 though :D

Option #3 worked perfectly. Thanks!

You can also use the HTML Editor Manager to turn of the > code removal - its a checkbox in there.
