Hi,

Not sure this is the right forum to ask this (please let me know if I should ask in another forum).

I'm using the Telerik RadEditor, and have some problems when users make updates. Unwanted code gets added to the mpdule (line breaks, whitespace, "return-false" breaking links, etc... depending on browser)

I was reading this page on this site (http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/telerik-rad-editor-customization), which references the follwing filepath: /Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Telerik/Config/ToolsCustom.xml . But I found when looking, that my installation has no Telerik/ directory under Providers/ (only a Fck/ directory).

My questions are:

- Does anyone know about the code issues I mentioned above, and how to prevent them?

- Can I upgrade my Telerik HTML editor, without upgrading DNN (yet)?

- Do I have other options for HTML editors to use besides Fck and Telerik? If so, what are they and which one(s) work best?

Thanks

Tom

DNN Corp. is phasing out their customized version of Telerik Editor, default Editor in DNN 8 has been announced to be CK Editor.
You may download latest version of fully supported CKEditor from http://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com.
Evoq products are using a different product for (limited) html formatted editing.

Thanks Sebastian. Would I be able to use the CK editor in my existing DNN installation (7.1.2)? If so I would like to try it (on a test server first)

Tom,

just to give my 2 cents: I use CK Editor for a while now, I am much happier with this one as with the Telerik RAD stuff. You should definitely give it a try.

Happy DNNing!
