Hi All.

This  is the first time I have used the DNN platform. I managed to build out a website, but I bought a form from DigNuke which is giving me some problems.

Everything works well with the form besides the email feature. The form data is stored in the database and is accessible through a results tab.

In checking my Outlook account, I see each attempt to test this email feature logs as an Incorrect Password Activity.

I double checked my SMTP settings and that test works fine, and also my newsletter feature works fine. I am now a bit confused as to what can be causing this problem, any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards.

if the sending email is in a Domain, which doesn't match the Domain of the SMTP Server account, make sure that the SMTP account is granted relaying permission.

If you are having trouble with digForm, the best way to get help is by contacting digNuke directly via their website. I've used digForm without problems, and Mike (aka digMike) has always been quick to help with problems.

It's not clear from your post where the password problem is being generated. Can you provide more details? Are there errors logged in the EventLog? Can you provide the exact text of the error that you are seeing?

Hi All,

Thank you for your responses.

Leupold : Both emails are of the same domain.

Craig : I have contacted digForm but I have not received a response.

It seems that the password problems happens only at use of digForm. Everything else works fine.

The error is being logged in the event viewer, and the following is the message displayed:

Message:System.Net.Mail.SmtpException: Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.3 Requested action aborted; user not authenticated at System.Net.Mail.MailCommand.CheckResponse(SmtpStatusCode statusCode, String response) at System.Net.Mail.MailCommand.Send(SmtpConnection conn, Byte[] command, MailAddress from, Boolean allowUnicode) at System.Net.Mail.SmtpTransport.SendMail(MailAddress sender, MailAddressCollection recipients, String deliveryNotify, Boolean allowUnicode, SmtpFailedRec

the error message indicates an issue with the SMTP user account being used, you need to provide a password.
