I know the developers have removed some of the admin modules that shipped with Dnn7 such as the Site Log.
I don't know how many others used this module to check up on some of the website activities as I have done. For me this was one of the most useful admin module.
OK so I download and install the Site Log module for DNN8, it installs fine and adds the link to the Admin Page. So far so good. I open the Site Log and get an information block stating:
Your hosting provider has disabled the Site Log functionality.

I go searching in the Host settings that I used to set for this and they no longer exist.
It seems to me that DNN8 is not able to log site activities anymore.
As far as I am concerned this module is now useless. I now have to find a way to sift through the IIS logs for the information I want, much more difficult.

For as long as I have been using DNN, this version is the most disappointing.

Looks like the source code for the module still points to "portal settings"

var siteLogHistory = PortalController.GetPortalSettingAsInteger("SiteLogHistory", PortalSettings.PortalId, 0);

It does Chris but there is no entry for "SiteLogHistory" in the portal settings table anymore.
As far as I can tell the site log module does not store the history it only reads it so the DNN framework has to store it.

Sorry about the post above, I just had to rant a bit.

My mistake. The site log module adds a http handler.

I manually added the required settings to the host settings table. I still to not get any details (site log is empty)
I have to dig into it a bit more.

I have created a new pull request in GitHub to add a settings page for this module. It will allow for the configuration of the Site Log.
