Hello DNNers.

I am using DNN 6.2 and HTML version 6.2.9.  I am having issues when I replace HTML code.  When I code a <BR /> tag, the SAVE starts putting in many multiple <br></br> tags.  Has any else encountered this?

Thanks.

Yes, I think I've even seen this with DNN 7 (and maybe even 8?). I suspected the issue was with the HTML Editor being used by default. I'm no longer seeing that issue with DNN 9.

I am quite sure it is the Telerik HTML provider.

I would recommend using the CK Editor provider instead, either the one that's delivered with DNN 8 (you may have to switch manually after an upgrade, under Host :: HTML Editor Configuration) or use the original one from Ingo Herbote: https://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com/ (which seems to be more mature).

Happy DNNing!
Michael
