It seems like it's not only impossible to install Generic4 skin extension but any extension. I was trying to install default feedback module or even Revindex Storefront module again and I see the same mistake.

It may be some server problem. Please ask your host provider what can be the reason of such DNN installation behavior.

Is Revindex StoreFront module the last module you successfully installed?

I don’t think the error message is at all helpful.
Why can’t it show the trace info? It’s obvious that an admin is using the page so any errors would be helpful.

It's new - our previous version was DNN 5 with catalook but decided the upgrade processes would've been error prone so we started new. The error message is far too generic, all it needs to do is spit out the trace info. I've looked everywhere for the error log including the location listed in this thread but an error is not being recorded anywhere.
