For more than a week i have been trying to download and evaluate some of the Onyaktech modules.  It looks like there are several that might help with a project that I am working on and save me valuable development time and effort.  Initially all the  evaluation versions  displayed a message that he version had epired.  I contacted their support and they upgraded some of the modules, but even then the same problem occurred.  The company website has been completely down (503 error) now for four days and i am no longer getting responses to my support requests or contacts through e-mail.

I am interested in other's experience with the product and the company.  Is this an anomoly or is Onyaktech out for the count?  i co not want to put a lot of effort and money  into  software or a company that will leave me high and dry in the future.  Anyone have any feedback?

While I have never used any of Onyak's modules, I can tell you that they have been around "forever," i.e. before I started using DNN back in 2006. And, I occasionally see update and new product announcements.

I just looked and the website is up and running.

They have been solid in the past, but I don't know their current status.

I downloaded their user module and it works great, did that a couple weeks ago but have the same issue with the eval version message.

I can say the user manager is a Godsend, saved me loads of work, installs and spins like a top on DNN 9.

I've gotten responses back, not consistently however. I do need a refund on one of their modules and didn't get a confirmation on that at all. That said, it's just 20 bucks and I won't lose sleep over it.

Hi James, I'm sorry about the issues you had with the evaluation installs and the web site.  The problems were caused by a new framework being tested in a few modules, evals and OnyakTech servers before releasing to the public.   Those issues have been corrected but it's still not ready for release.  There may be a few minor problems in the next 30 days while attempting to test the framework in a production environment but the impact will be minimal and should self-correct within a few minutes if there is critical failure.

It's a new framework that has been in development for the past year and it will appear first in the next major release of Cyon (project management module for DNN) with the next major release of SigmaPro (being released as an add-on to Cyon for help desk management in DNN).  The integration needs to work with Data Studio, SigmaLive Chat, Custom Forms, Charts and other OnyakTech DNN modules in order to provide a complete solution out of the box instead of dealing with reading a lot of documentation and setting up the configurations yourself.   The OnyakTech DNN business modules now slide into the new Unity3D services (more to be announced in the fall of 2018) that will be used by businesses and entertainment studios.  The challenge in this is providing seamless integration between DNN, existing and "coming soon" OnyakTech DNN business modules with the new Unity3D assets and server applications.  Making the SignalR channel in SigmaLive Chat DNN module pipe into the UDP based servers that are connected to thousands of desktop and mobile clients across a data bridge between Mongo and SQL server.  All of which must be secure, high performing and follow SOLID in order to provide features I'll go into more detail at a later date.

Sorry if that was more information than what you are interested in.  Based on your comments I felt that there should be at least a high-level view of what is going on and why you ran into a few issues.

Michael,  I made sure the refund you requested was approved.  Let me know if you need anything else.
