I am running DNN 4.04.00 with Event Module 3.02 and I can not find where to change from calendar to list. In the help section it  calls for opening Event Setting but I am only showing the following options setting none of which shows an option to swith between calendar and  list view
+Module Settings
+Page Settings
+Event Module Settings

Maybe a silly question, but did you maximize the Event Module Settings by clicking on the + ? Then you should see all settings specific to the Events module, amongst others the "Event List Settings" section, where you check the "Enable List Mode" check box to change to the list view.

The problem I am having is confilicting modules. The event module that is installed is NOT the DNN event module. When I open settings there are all kinds of options which I don't think are part of the  DNN module...from looking at the online help.

I have removed the module including files and reinstalled from the latest version, but I still end of with a non DNN core module. I do not remember what other event module I installed.

How do I delete the conflicting module so I can install the "Genuine DNN Event Module".

I don't think you have a module conflict. I just had a look at the online help, and it simply seems to be out of date! For example, the online help section "Display Events In A List" doesn't describe the current (version 3.02) module settings! To change to the list view, don't listen to the online help, but select the "Enable List Mode" check box as I described in my last posting.

AFAIK a new version of the Events module will be released end of February. I hope the online help will then be updated, too! And, as a suggestion to the project owners: please include a version number in the online help! Thanks! (Or is there one, and I am simply blind??)

We are in the process of upgrading the DNN Events module to add many new Calendar/Notification/Enrollment features...We hope to have documentation out with the module as soon as the features are tested and approved.  We will get the DNN Help updated and label it per the correct version.  thanks.
