I am new to dotnetnuke and have just installed a new portal, I am having difficulty using the events module. I cannot seem to be able to add any new events.

Does anybody know if there is a tutorial or help file for the events module.

Be sure that you're logged in as admin or host. Also, have a look at the online help. It's a bit out of date, but it should show you the basics.

I am having the same problem.  Just upgraded to 4.x.  There is no Add Event menu item displayed for me (either).  I can only change the Settings.   Dumb question, but does this only work in DNN 3 sites?

The Events module version 3.02 runs on DNN 4.x as well - I'm using it with DNN 4.3.6 and 4.4.1.

I think, after an upgrade you'll have to confirm the module settings first. At least this is true for a module upgrade, but maybe true as well for a DNN update (didn't try this so far).

What is displayed in your module instance? Do you see the month view, or just the message "Please update module settings"? If so, then just update the module settings, and you should see the month view, and should be able to add new events. If not, then ....  hhhmmm ... dunno ...

We have a new version of the Events Module that is in the Release/Certification process.  So, it should be available in a few days/weeks, if you can wait that long.  It has been extensively beta tested, fixes most of the issues, offers more features, and works w/DNN 3 & 4 (including DNN 4.1.1.  Otherwise, if you email me privately, you can try the beta.
