In addition to the issue I mentioned in another thread... about the full calendar view being displayed to admins in a linked module that is supposed to only display lists, I've got some initial comments on the new release.

When the Category drop-down is disabled, the gap remains. Can this be made to collapse completely in another release?

The image handler is confused between the setting in list view and the setting in the general settings sections. There seem to be two ways to enable it in a linked list view module. As well, the image would ideally resize itself to an admin-specified size on upload...meaning move the size setting to the admin settings. This image is really just a reference thumbnail for the event.. fully illustrative images can be uploaded via the rich text editor anyways.

I'm beginning to think that the list view is not really the right way to provide an aggregated list of events on the homepage. The whole linking of modules, plus the list view starts to feel like a bit of a hack. Couldn't this be made to use RSS instead? If I enable DNN syndication for the module, does that work perhaps? I'll go try it out.

Also.. how does the Paypal setup recognise what currency is going to be charged? Paypal supports lots of currencies now.. perhaps a dropdown list could be added? I'd need NZ$ and AUS$ myself. Also.. what is this doing at Paypal.. is this using IPN? Does it add it's own return URL?

One more... this message "You are not enrolled for this event... press this link to enroll!" looks bad all bold and red like that, and is superfluous anyway when the link right next to it says "Enroll for this event?"

And one more small one... "Export Event to Desktop Event" is also a bit cryptic. It could well do with a tooltip or help icon with info on what it does.

And thanks for all the efforts. It's great to see the module coming along.

Regards
Rob

Ok, I've just checked out syndication for the module but no-go.

I do think RSS would be a handier way to deal with event lists. The dates, descriptions and images could all then be easily formatted and listed without configuring and linking multiple event modules.
