Hi

I just wanted to say that after spending the afternoon with the new events module I have decided its a better fit for my application than the 3rd party module I bought last week.
I like the simplicity and it has been easy to make it look good as the css is sensible / the ascx's are easy to edit.

?1 - Cannot find a post explaing the Fixed and auto css settings ?
? 2 - Can I have a setup where I have one master events module and have sub cal modules on different pages only showing specific categories ?
I can see how to do it the other way around - one module looking at all others but then edits to the master do not show up in the sub modules.
I only want my admins to have to deal with one master events module.

Anyway I am still going to test some more and then use this Events version.

Thanks

Ian

!1 - I guess you're talking about the values for the "table-layout" declaration of the CSS class ".Event" - there is a good explanation on http://www.richinstyle.com/guides/tables2.html#fixed

!2 - Not AFAIK, sorry. As you said - the concept of master/sub calendars is just the other way round.

BTW, what 3rd party module did you test? Could you give a short "test report"?

HI xws-mika

Thanks very much for the explanation link and confirmation of the way master - sub calendars work.
I might post on this as seperate subjects as it seems to be more useful my way round.

Re review: I would hesitate to do this and name the software as deciding not to use it was really based on layout issues and its event input complexity for admins of this particular site and not becuse the software did not work.

Happy to tell you in an email.

Hi Betacam,

Betacam wrote Re review: I would hesitate to do this

That's ok. But I'd been really interested in your opinion if you had rated the 3rd party module better than the core module  ;-)
